<p>Am dat peste un <a href="http://www.designer-daily.com/things-go-better-with-persistant-branding-2821" target="_blank">articol</a> (destul de vag, ce-i drept) ce compara evolutia siglei Pepsi in comparatie cu &#8220;evolutia&#8221; siglei Coca-Cola.<br />
Remarcam faptul ca in timp ce Coca-Cola a pastrat acelasi concept 100+ de ani, Pepsi a facut schimbari radicale.<br />
La inceput au venit cu un concept asemanator concurentei (lucru mentionat si de autorul articolului original), mai apoi facand rebranding complet si aplicand periodic mici retusuri.</p>

<strong>Ce ne spune asta?</strong><br />
In primul rand, Coca-Cola are brand puternic. Sa ai acelasi logo atat timp inseamna ca ti-ai facut treaba cum trebuie. Chiar daca la sfarsitul secolului 19 acel &#8220;font&#8221; nu era ceva iesit din comun, Coca-Cola a reusit sa reziste tentatiei schimbarii. Parca au zis &#8220;Ce naiba, noi suntem ai&#8217; mai tari, facem cum vor muschii mei si ne doare undeva de timp&#8221;.<br />
Despre Pepsi putem filozofa in doua feluri. Sa fim carcotasi si sa spunem ca au o criza de identitate, ca nu se regasesc si au un complex de inferioritate in fata competitiei? Ca simt mereu nevoia sa-si regandeasca imaginea?<br />
Sau ca ei au abordat o alta strategie, ceva gen &#8220;se schimba lumea si odata cu ea, si noi&#8230;sau invers&#8221;. Intodeauna un logo modern, la moda, chiar daca doar prin mici retusuri. Cum ii judecam, treaba noastra&#8230;sau nu, treaba noastra e sa bem sucul</p>

Punctul culminant este insa lansarea recenta a produsului <a href="http://www.brandrepublic.com/Discipline/Design/News/918632/Diet-Coke-launches-Ugly-Betty-bottle/" target="_blank">Diet Coke cu design Betty.</a></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Exact. Dupa cum vedeti e roz, e girly si e peste tot in magazine. Partea frumoasa e ca vine la pachet cu un set de autocolante, reprezentand vestimentatia protagonistei in diferite situatii din serial. Deci e fashion.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Toata chestia asta a fost conceptia <a href="http://www.patriciafield.com/" target="_blank">Patriciei Field</a>, stilistul din spatele Sex and the City si The Devil Wears Prada. Stilul difera destul de mult, trecand de la eleganta, seductie la un look bubble-gum, conceput parca pentru o campanie Barbie. Dar parca acest stil mai jucaus se potriveste cu Betty, din ce am vazut eu in reclame pe vremea cand se difuza la noi, serialul e plin de umor, cel putin tentativa de umor.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Concluzia? Ambalajul vinde produsul. Indiferent ce. Acum la englezi a nebunie Betty si Coca Cola profita de asta. Vazand asta, ma tot gandesc, oare ce-o fi la ei cu franciza Harry Potter? Banuiesc ca e mult mai grav. In fine, astept ca la urmatorul film Harry Potter sa se lanseze produse Durex promovand filmul. Ar fi distractiv sa vad copii de 12 ani zbierand &#8220;Vreau si eu luuub din ala cu Heri&#8221;. A, si inca astept nebunia Hello Kitty. Va veni cu siguranta. Si uite, ca bonus, un viral Diet Coke a&#8217;la Betty.</p>
